WHO
IS
SHE ?
Axelle Verner graduated from the Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris and later from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, where she studied Baroque singing and early music in the class of Robert Expert.
In 2019, she joined the Pôle Lyrique d’Excellence directed by Cécile de Boever.
That same year, she was awarded Third Prize at the Froville International Baroque Singing Competition.
Axelle Verner performs regularly as both a soloist and ensemble singer with groups such as Les Kapsber’girls (Albane Imbs), La Tempête (Simon-Pierre Bestion), Le Poème Harmonique (Vincent Dumestre), Les Arts Florissants (William Christie and Paul Agnew), and Correspondances (Sébastien Daucé).
As a singer, illustrator, and dancer, Axelle Verner places interdisciplinarity at the heart of her artistic approach. She enjoys creating unique experiences for audiences by blending artistic forms and forging connections between voice, movement, and visual imagery.
Driven by a constant desire for renewal, she also explores other musical styles, such as minimalist pop-baroque on her album 50/50 with Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu, featuring original compositions by David Chalmin, as well as video game music in collaboration with Lorien Testard and Alice Duport-Percier for the game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
